We’ll now cover some of the website basics, starting with the Logo.

Now, this is not mandatory, you don’t absolutely need a Logo, but it does help a bit.

What is this logo? This logo can be something like a nice looking text URL or a graphics image. It will make your website different from the others, setting a part from the competition.

Making a website logo can be done professionaly or by yourself. Of course that if you design it yourself it’s cheaper, but doing it professionaly is not as expensive as it may seem.

If you’re going with routes 1 or 2 you’ll need a web editing software and with route one a graphics software.

While I don’t want to get too much into this as there are a lot of specialized websites online about the subject, you should keep in mind that you’ll need good editors for best results. Which in this case doesn’t mean you’ll have to pay for them (yes, this is an exception).

For the graphics software as a free solution, GIMP is likely the best option, as it will get good results with a soft learning curve. You’ll also be needing a HTML editor, which I would recommend HTML-Kit, which is also free and easy to use.

Learning HTML is pretty simple (it’s not even considered a programming language) and you’ll be able to know what the code is doing in no time (analysing the code from the template, for example) and it’s also easy to do stuff by checking snippets online.

All in all, you do need a program for this, but it’s not too hard to code in HTML and if you can, it’s the cheapest option.

This is your last option: hiring a coder.

The most expensive solution, which is also risky.

I won’t go into much details about this, but you’re simply paying someone to create a website for you. It can cost up to $3000 for a simple design (even though it’ll be unique), and there’s never a garantee you’ll actually like it, so be careful with it.

Another problem is that sometimes the coder will get the website done but it may not be 100% optimized, so you may need to tweak it yourself, which makes you need to learn a bit of HTML.

Besides that, it’s something that may take a while to get, it’s not as easy to setup as a pre-made template of using a website builder.

Advantages – Unique design
Disadvantages – You don’t get a quality garantee; You may not like the design; Very Expensive

This is an option that completely eliminates having to use HTML, which is good for those who don’t even want to learn it (yes, it’s simple, but you may not want to learn it, as that takes some time).

I’ll focus this on one specific product: Easy Website Builder.

Sure this is a more expensive aproach to building websites, as it’s a monthly subscription. However, the price is irrelevant when you compare it to the amount you’ll earn as an affiliate.

An easy website builder is provided here, so you’ll be using simple forms to create the website. Hundreds of designs are provided, depending on the plan you choose. It also provides hosting, newsletters and a lot more, so it’s a really complete package.

You really can’t go wrong with it, so at least give it a try (check the website for more info).

Advantages – Good price/quality ratio; No need to learn HTML; Free Hosting
Disadvantages – Monthly payments

Easy Website Builder

This is part 2 of your options: using a template.

A template is simply the basic layout of your website. Instead of building the design from scratch, you just need to add text to where you want it.

This is a fairly cheap option and provides good results.

There are a lot of packages out there and you can get some for free, however those aren’t too good, so consider spending a couple of bucks.

Advantages – Cheap (but not free)
Disadvantages – You need to pay to get quality templates

I’ve compiled a list of good websites you should check if templates are your option:
